The Best of Clermont County
There is no doubt, there is incredible food, attractions and entertainment in Clermont County and the east side of Cincinnati.
Each year the Best of the East is held as a celebration and friendly competition among the top establishments in various restaurant, retail and entertainment categories. Visitors will certainly enjoy the winners the locals have voted as “Best “ in our region.
The popular Jungle Jim’s International Market won two awards, taking home the Best Wine Store and Tasting award along with the Best Beer Section. You will find both beer and wine from all over the world, but more importantly from local craft breweries right here in the Cincinnati area including Clermont County’s Mt. Carmel Brewery and Old Firehouse Brewery.
In the edible categories Everything Bagels won the Best Bagel, and as a local owner and operator, their customer service and friendly smiles match their award-winning food. Poochie’s Place took home Best Breakfast, City BBQ took home Best BBQ, Padrino Italian won the best Italian Cuisine and for dessert, Sweet Frog won the Best Frozen Yogurt.
Looking for something a little different? No worries! Paul Barraco at 20 Brix will take care of you with an elegant cuisine as he roped in the Best Chef award. The popular Bite won Best Vegetarian and as a “come as you are” BYOB restaurant, how could they not? This restaurant works with local farmers and grows on its two-acre property organic vegetables, herbs, fruits and nuts. Are you hungry yet?
Marcella’s Doughnuts & Bakery let their food do the talking as they won both the Best Bakery and Best Donut, which is a pretty competitive market here in Cincinnati. Representing the City of Milford, Lehr’s Prime Market took home the Best Sandwich Shop award, By Golly’s won the Best Neighborhood Bar and The Main Cup brewed up the best “cup of Joe” and won Best Independent Coffeehouse.
